Hepatitis Ais an inflammatory disease of theliver. Avaccineis available to preventhepatitisA. ThehepatitisA virus spreads to other people by contaminated foods and water (contaminated with feces from an infected person) or by close personal contact. In most cases, the infection resolves on its own after a few weeks.

Hepatitis A infection may not always cause symptoms and signs. When it does, the signs and symptoms of hepatitis A includeflu-like symptomssuch asfever,fatigue,loss of appetite,joint pain, andabdominal pain. Other associated signs and symptoms can includedark urine, yellow skin and eyes (jaundice), and浅色的凳子.
