Also called Kaposi varicelliform eruption,eczemaherpeticum is a painful,blisteringrashcaused by theherpessimplex virus and resembles thechickenpox. It is more common in young children, particularly those who haveatopic dermatitis(AD). It usually appears on the face and neck but can develop elsewhere on the body. It can be serious so should be treated right away with antiviral medications.
