It works by stopping the growth of certain types of fungus. Miconazole belongs to a class ofdrugsknown as azole antifungals.This medication only treats certain fungal skin infections. It will not work for other skin infections (such as those caused by bacteria orviruses). Unnecessary use or overuse of any drug used to treat infection can lead to its decreased effectiveness.This medication is not effective for treatingfungal infectionsof thescalpor nails. Do not use this product on children under 2 years old unless directed by the doctor.If you are self-treating with this medication, it is important to read the package instructions carefully before you start using this product to be sure it is right for you. HOW TO USE:Use this medication only on the skin as directed by your doctor. If you are self-treating, follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, ask your doctor or pharmacist.Before applying this medication, clean and completely dry the affected areas. If this medication is used on children, parents should apply it for them. Using the brush provided, apply a thin layer of the medication as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily (morning and evening). If you are treatingathlete's foot,也应用在脚趾之间的一种药物d on the skin around/under the nails. Do not cover with a bandage or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. Wash your hands after each application.Avoid getting this medication in your eyes, nose, mouth, vagina, or on healthy areas of skin. If this occurs, wipe off the medication and rinse thoroughly with water. Call your doctor if irritation occurs.Try not to spill this medication. If a spill occurs, wipe it up immediately. This medication can damage countertops, floors, and other surfaces.Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day. Do not apply large amounts of this medication, use it more often, or use it for longer than directed. Your condition will not improve any faster, and your risk of side effects may increase.Athlete's footandringwormusually require 4 weeks of treatment with miconazole. Jockitchusually requires 2 weeks of treatment. Continue to use this medication for the full time as directed, even if symptoms improve after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may allow the fungus to continue to grow, which may result in a return of the infection.Stop using this medication and seek immediate medical attention if your condition persists after the above length of treatment, if it worsens, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem.

SIDE EFFECTS:Skin irritation and burning may occur. If either of these effects persist or worsen, stop using this medication and tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.If your doctor has directed you to use this medication, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.A very seriousallergic reactionto this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a seriousallergicreaction, including:rash,itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severedizziness, troublebreathing.This is not a complete list of possible side effects. PRECAUTIONS:Before using miconazole, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other azole antifungals (such asclotrimazole,fluconazole,ketoconazole); or if you have any otherallergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients (such asalcohol, glacial acetic acid), which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of:diabetes, blood circulation problems, kidney problems,liverproblems.Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).Duringpregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.It is unknown if this drug passes intobreast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:The effects of some drugs can change if you take other drugs or herbal products at the same time. This can increase your risk for serious side effects or may cause your medications not to work correctly. These drug interactions are possible, but do not always occur. Your doctor or pharmacist can often prevent or manage interactions by changing how you use your medications or by close monitoring.To help your doctor and pharmacist give you the best care, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products) before starting treatment with this product. While using this product, do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any other medicines you are using without your doctor's approval.Keep a list of all the products you use. Share the list with your doctor and pharmacist to reduce your risk for serious medication problems.

OVERDOSE:This medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If swallowing or overdose is suspected, contact apoison controlcenter or emergency room immediately. US residents can call their local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Canada residents can call a provincial poison control center.

NOTES:Keep all regular medical and laboratory appointments.If you are treatingathlete's foot, dry thoroughly between the toes after bathing, wear shoes that are breathable, and change shoes and socks at least once daily.If you are treating jockitch, keep the groin area clean and dry, avoidchafing, and wear clean cotton underwear.

MISSED DOSE:If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

STORAGE:Store at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C). Keep the container cap tightly closed. Protect from freezing. If freezing occurs, place the medication container in warm water until it reaches room temperature. Store away from heat or open flame because this product is flammable. Keep all medications away from children and pets.Do not冲洗medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so.
