Chest tightness is a common sensation and can be a symptom of many different conditions. Tightness in the chest can be a result of diseases that affect internal organs within the chest cavity (thorax), including the heart,lungs,esophagus, stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, andliver. Chest tightness can also be caused by disease of the chest wall, including abnormalities of muscle, bone, cartilage, and skin.Stressandanxietycan also cause chest tightness.
